CEDAR CREEK Anchor to CHATTAGOOGA, TN / Wednesday, October 5 to Thursday, October 6 (Days 258-259)

Admiral's Log:     8:20 am, 10/5/16
Air Temp:   61     Water Temp:   75
                        Winds:   calm
                        Speed:   10 mph

We arrived at the city marina in downtown Chattanooga at 1pm. It was a great location, with power and a security gate. We saw a few other Looper's we knew already there; Trawler Life, among them.

Huge rock quarry.
The gorge to Chattanooga is very pretty, but it will gorgeous once the leaves turn.
Another volley ball net in the water! Guess you won't break a sweat.

We are the blue hull boat second from the left.
Our spot on the wall, Trawler Life behind us.

Police Maneuvers
Our niece Anna and her kids Parker and Emmy met us for lunch at Big River. Then we just hung out at the boat waiting for her husband John and our nephew, David to get off work. Then the 9 of us had dinner at Tony's; a really good Italian restaurant we walked to.

Thursday, the four of us walked to Blue Plate for breakfast while we waited on Anna. She took us to the Incline Railway up the side of Lookout Mountain. The Incline is the steepest railway in the world. It moves at 600 feet per minute for one mile and on a clear day you can see 6 states! Unfortunately it was not that clear of a day for us.

Chattanooga's version of peddle bars. Instead of peddling on the streets of Nashville, these people peddle on water.

View from inside the Incline.
History of St. Elmo
Parker and I played in the "Water Stairs" at the Chattanooga Aquarium.

When we got back to the boat we helped Chica,Copper Penny and Have Another Day tie up. We joined a few other boats for Docktails before the 9 of us went for pizza at Community Pizza.
