BERNADETTE BAY Anchor to RAWSON BAY Anchor / Sunday, July 17 to Monday, July 18 (Days 179-180)

Admiral's Log:     8:55 am, Sun. 7//17/16
Air Temp:   70     Water Temp:   68
                        Winds:   6 mph
                        Speed:   9.1 knots

Beautiful day! We knew the wind was going to be rough for the next couple of days so we had heard this anchorage was well protected. By the time the 4 of us arrived we had 11 boats anchored with us, so I guess it is well known as a good place to duck out of the weather.

A light beacon, not a light house, (bad camera day)
We saw a couple of other Loopers leaving the same anchorage. We dropped anchor around 11:30 and Mike dropped the dingy shortly thereafter. He was anxious to do some fishing.

We fixed steaks on the grill just before it started to rain, read a little and off to bed.

Monday, the winds really picked up like we thought; 20 mph. There were 5 foot seas out in the bay, so we stayed put. Mike did a little more fishing, caught a bass we cooked for dinner. I read and watched a little TV and had popcorn I'd been craving.
Large mouth bass for dinner.

Lori came over and we had a mini planning session where we were headed the next few days. We saw bald eagle soar around the boats, it was so cool. I messed up the settings on the camera so don't really have very good photos of these 2 days. So I used the best ones I had.
Wish this photo was better, it was so cool and so close!

Sweet T at 10 pm!
