RAWSON BAY Anchor to PARRY SOUND / Tuesday, July 19 (Day 181)

Admiral's Log:     7:05 am, Tues. 7/19/16
Air Temp:   60     Water Temp:   72
                        Winds:   3 mph
                        Speed:   9.4 knots

Our flotilla lined up and set off early. Everyone was ready to get to a good sized town to re-provision and decent WIFI, so I can catch up on the Blog! We passed the famous "Henry's Fish Camp" and had to go through several very narrow passages! Often times we have to wind around some pretty darn big boulders just barely peeking out of the water. We have to keep a sharp eye out, no auto pilot here!

Our 4 boat flotilla, so much fun traveling together.
Henry's Fish Camp
Mel going through one of the tight, rocky passages. Notice the SLOW sign painted on the rock!
Another narrow channel!
We had to bob around in the water for the Parry Island Swing Bridge to open, so I took photos of the other boats and emailed them. We always like photos of our boats on the water.
Beautiful wooden boat.
We got to our marina at a little after 10 and headed straight to the Farmer's Market. We got several local made sausages and cheeses, fruits and veggies. Several of us got a cab and went to Walmart for the rest of our provisions. Mike stayed and did a little laundry. Since we will be on the hook for probably 5 days, we wanted to get caught up as much as possible.

Mike and Tonya of Sweet T went on a float plane tour of the area.
We were pleasantly surprised to see a fellow Looper, Chica arrive. We had not seen them since early June. Al and Sandy are from South Carolina and such nice people. They were happy to see us too. They will be joining the flotilla for a while now.

The 10 of us went to dinner at Wellington's in town. I had pickerel (walleye) in a dill, caper and butter sauce. It was perfect. I wanted the Fish and Chips, but think I'm having gall bladder issues so trying to stay away from fried, fatty foods. Sorry, maybe too much info there.

The flotilla dinner.
Beautiful yellow full moon last night!
