Yay, another beautiful day, may be on a roll. Today we are going to anchor on the Sassafras River. We were told by several people it was a pretty peaceful place. We have to back to the Eastern Shore, but don't mind since it is a nice day. That is the way we've been discovering the Chesapeake. Kind of zig zagging back and forth from the Eastern to Western shores.

Memorial Weekend Raft Up-13 boats!

We set anchor at 1 and took the dingy into the big city of Georgetown...NOT. But it was a nice ride. We had a drink at the only restaurant and enjoyed the view of the harbor. We took a ride up the creek and admired our surroundings. Then I had to take a dip in the water just to say I swam in the Chesapeake. It was cold at first but not as bad as I thought it would be, quite refreshing and not very salty at all. We cooked grouper fingers for dinner and enjoyed our quiet surroundings on the flybridge.
