It's  June! Where is the warm weather?!  Shows how high we are. Another boater said a friend of their's said it was 89 and sunny in NYC yesterday!

This is before the flooding

After filling the lock and gates opening.

Four boats are going through 4 locks today. Us, Phase II, Sadie Too and a another non Looper boat. We are going through locks 14, 15, 16 and 17. Lock 17 is the highest lift we go through on the Erie, 40 feet! It also is the only guillotine gate; it raises up, rather than the traditional swing gates. We needed to wear our rain jackets so we would not get dripped on.

Notice the ear muffs, fleece jacket and scarf!
Sadie Too, Sadie is the dog.

One of the spillways we've seen at each lock.
We got to the Little Falls at 11:45. We scoped out the town. Unfortunately it's pretty much a dying town. Not much was open. But they did have a good grocery store.  We had docktails with 3 other boats and dinner was Bar B Q we had brought from home.

We laughed and called these "Bench Warmers" could not figure out what they were?

Tuesday, we walked to the grocery store and scoped out a place for dinner. The liquor store was closed, for good! Bonnee and I did some laundry, cleaned and blogged while Mike and Casey washed the boat.

We had dinner with Phase II and Grayling at Ruggerio's Italian Restaurant. It was pretty good, but the portions were way to big, so leftovers for another night.
Our waitress did not know how to use our iPhone.  Can you tell?
