KINGSTON to ALBANY / Wednesday, June 8 to Thursday, June 9 (Days 139-140)

Admiral's Log:     9:55 am, Wed. 6/8/16
Air Temp:   65     Water Temp:  70
                         Winds:   8 mph
                         Speed:   6.7

It sprinkled starting out, then got windy. We passed more really cool lighthouses and the the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. The Rip Van Winkle story took place in the Catskills Mountains. There must have been some sort of connection, because Rip was of Dutch descent as was Henry Hudson, the first to navigate the Hudson River.

We arrived at 3:40, just relaxed and had leftovers.

Thursday, Albany does not have Uber, but the Dockmaster let us borrow his car, which was a huge help. Lori (Phase II) and I went to the grocery, then she took me to get a much needed hair cut. After we got back she gave me a "Giving Plate." I had seen where Ann of Morningstar had givin it to Lori, so I was honored to receive it from her. We are making such fun, lasting friendships. You are suppose to bake something, then put it on the plate and pass it on, then they do, and so on and so on. So now it is my turn to give it to someone.

We had dinner with Lazy Suzan at Teagan's near the Marina. The chef graduated from the Culinary Institute, so we were told it was pretty good. Mike had a stroganoff that he said was pretty awesome and I had a delicious stuffed portobello.
